Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy was in Torrent this Saturday for the presentation of the “Un Sentiment Etern Tour” project, which features an exhibition about the club’s Centenary and family activities in the town on the outskirts of Valencia.
Torrent has a particular affinity with VCF, and over 1,000 season ticket holders hail from the town. President Murthy thanked the city council for their will to work with Valencia CF to bring the Centenary festivities close to those in the region, and also commented on other issues that are on the lips of fans -such as the construction of the new stadium.
“It's an important year for everyone. There's not much of the season remaining, and we have one foot in the semifinals of the Europa League. We're in the final of the Copa del Rey. We continue to fight to return to the Champions League next season. I'm very optimistic that this will be a year that we remember for another century.
"We are still working on matter of the new stadium. We are working very seriously on the construction of the new stadium.”
